Johann M. Polegato was born in Esperança, in the hinterlands of Paraíba, Brazil, and has carried ever since, in his name and in his mind, the strength of a tireless thinker and a natural-born creator. Between travels to Rio de Janeiro, deep experiences in the backlands of Paraíba, Pernambuco, and Alagoas, and journeys through several Latin American countries, including his most recent experience of living in Paris, Johann has built a plural, vibrant identity rooted in the power of critical thinking and artistic expression.

With a degree in Performing Arts and a specialization in clown, along with experience in cinema, television, theater, and visual arts, Johann is also a devoted scholar and passionate explorer of the languages of the body, the word, and the mind. He is a polyglot, communicating with the world in multiple languages, including through art, writing, and movement.
